We are excited to propose plans to build 12 affordable properties in Westleton. We are working together with Peter Wells Architects on this project, which is currently in the early stages. Planning permission is yet to be submitted. The proposed development contains a mixture of affordable rent and shared ownership homes. Two of the properties are planned to be one-bedroom flats, whilst the rest of the properties will be a mixture of two and three-bedrooms houses. The exact number of affordable rent and shared ownership properties is yet to be determined.

The properties will be traditional build and are going to have buff brick detail with cottage style windows and doors. We will be aiming to achieve an EPC rating of at least a B and will be proposing to install solar panels to the properties. This will improve the energy efficiency of these properties and will hopefully help our residents to save on their energy bills.

Each house will contain two parking spaces, whilst the flats will have one parking space each. There will also be visitor spaces in the communal area. The site will have communal landscaping areas, with service charges that have yet to be agreed.

Rents

Rent rates for affordable rent properties will be subject to Local Housing Allowance rates at the time, rent rates below are indicative of what the rent rate could be:

• 1-bedroom flat: £136.93 per week
• 2-bedroom house: £165.01 per week
• 3-bedroom house: £184.11 per week
