Orwell are currently the largest provider of extra care housing for older people in Suffolk. We have combined accommodation specially designed to make life that little bit easier and paired this with care staff who are on-site 24/7 to provide that peace of mind when needed and can be accessed using our 24-hour alarm system or other assistive technology.

Orwell offers self-contained accommodation, with fully accessible facilities that enable you to maintain your independence.  We will work with you to design a personalised support and care package that could be as simple as help with your medication or far more complex. We see ourselves as an alternative to a residential care home with the benefit of you own private accommodation where couples to remain living together. Our aim to provide you with a home where you can make choices, retain your independence, health and ultimately have control over your life.

To make life that little bit easier we also offer additional optional services such as help with cleaning, shopping, laundry and other daily tasks you may need help with.

For your assurance all our services are all regulated by the Care Quality Commission, inspection reports and ratings can be found on this website.  Our staff are fully trained and have received specialised training in conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s and diabetes in addition to their mandatory training and are vetted using a Disclosure and Barring Services check (DBS).
