Suffolk Holiday Activity Programme - West Suffolk
A free programme of holiday activities funded by the Government and coordinated by West Suffolk Council is being extended once again this Summer to other families in need.
Park cooking, football, craft making, roller skating, gardening, singing, dancing, film making, horse riding and multi-sports all feature as part of the Holiday Activities and Food Programme in West Suffolk.
There are free places at these events under the Government’s Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. Eligibility for free places, set out by The Department for Education (DfE), is based on children and families who are on benefits related free school meals or pupil premium or where there is an identified need (such as being in care, bereavement, or if they are homeless).
Housing Support fund - Closing End of September 2024
The Housing Support Fund is a Government funded scheme. The fund can assist with rent, and service charges if you are struggling with housing costs. You will be expected to provide details of your income and expenditure and bank statements in order to be assessed for this financial help. Housing Officers are actively approaching tenants that we feel meet the criteria. However, If you feel like you would benefit from this fund please speak to your Housing Officer or contact the Housing Options or Customer Service team.
