Hi there and welcome to This Week at Orwell. Here is a recap of news stories around the Orwell community this last week.
One Big Multicultural Festival | Alexandra Park, Ipswich
The One Big Multicultural Festival returns to Alexandra Park on Sunday 23rd July. The event is a celebration of Suffolk’s many cultures and brings communities together. Previously held in September, this year the festival will take place in July. One Big Multicultural Festival is a free-to-attend family and community event with something for everyone. BSC Multicultural Services (BSCMS) host a range of activities on the day from world music, food and children’s entertainment to the annual Kabaddi sports event.
Preparing you home for the winter
Today I was joined by Simon Bennett, Repairs & Estates Manager here at Orwell. We chatted about the importance of checking your boiler, extractor fans and trickle air vents at some point over the summer, so that you are ready for the winter. If you feel that you need further assistance or guidance when making these checks, please gent in touch with us using the link below.
Kind words from Orwell Customer, Val
"Just want to thank Ross for the Orwell News videos, they are great! Always makes me smile. Also the app, yes Ross it is good to be able to contact out of office hours when the phone lines are closed. Bless you all, well done! Val"
