Tuesday 11th April 2023
Hi there and welcome to This Week at Orwell. Recently we received feedback from our ORG (Orwell Residents Group), around what they thought about the newsletter format and if there's anything else that we could do to improve that. We decided to provide this news update through video. So, with that in mind, here is a recap of news stories around the Orwell community this week.
'Inside the lines' Adult Colouring Sessions - Ipswich
Adult colouring is a great way to take time out and engage in a relaxing, fun, past time which is great for our mental health. Suffolk Libraries are hosting free sessions, every Tuesday where you can enjoy a fun, relaxing adult colouring session with friendly chat and laughter.
Independent East Online Event | Saturday 22nd April 2023
A one-off online event bringing together residents from the five Independent East housing associations to test the potential of and design a 'service sharpener' - a new way to suggest and drive improvements to local homes and services. Could this be part of the Residents Voice? By the end of this three-hour session we'll know!
Barclay's Bank Drop-in Sessions | Ipswich & across the region
Barclays Bank will be in the library each week to help with anything from money management and financial health, to buying or improving your home and supporting your business.
You can drop-in or book ahead on the Barclays website. Please note that this is an advice session. No monetary transactions will be taking place.
'Orwell's 'Community Conversations' Podcast
Our new podcast 'Community conversations' is brought to you by The Orwell Cost of Living Toolkit. The new online resource that connects our communities to the tools and services across the region that really make a difference. You can watch over on Youtube or listen now on Spotify!
