FREE Strength and Balance Programme at Holbrook | Activ Lives
If you are aged 65 or over, you may benefit from a Strength & Balance programme hosted by the team at Activ Lives. The benefits of this programme include 12 free Strength & Balance Sessions, exercise to improve, gait, coordination, strength & confidence and exercise with OTAGO specialist qualified instructors. The sessions are every Monday starting on 3rd February, 1:30pm - 3pm at the Holbrook Village Hall, The Street, Holbrook, Ipswich, IP9 2PZ
Register to My Orwell Voice for a chance to win £100 Love2Shop voucher!
Last week we reached out to customers who were yet to register for our digital platform My Orwell voice, to encourage them to take a look but also to remind customers they will be entered into a draw to win a £100 Love2Shop voucher if they register before Friday 31st January!
I wanted to share today some ways customers who have already registered have been able to have their say! In the last few months, we have made changes to our Decant Policy, our approach to collecting personal information and also has helped us to understand which of the Tenant satisfactions measures are of the most important to our customers. You can see the results published on My Orwell Voice or attached to the recent email that we have sent to all customers who are currently not registered as members.
Our magnet design poll for new Orwell customers was very successful as well, and as a result of our member’s feedback, we have added a QR code which links to the “contact us” section on the website.
We want to thank everyone who participated on My Orwell Voice in 2024 and we look forward to seeing more of you register and provide feedback in 2025!
Orwell Vacancy | Finance Accountant
Our Financial Accountant will be responsible for the external reporting of the organisation, including leading an effective and efficient external audit. Additionally, the Financial Accountant takes responsibility for the organisation regulatory returns and costings to all areas of the organisation for tenders and reviews of current business areas.
The post also holds responsibilities for specific areas of financial and management accounting and provides cover for both the Finance Business Partner and the Senior Accountant. This role also provides support to the Head of Finance with other tasks and projects as and when they arise and to deputise for and represent the Head of Finance in times of their absence.

Today we wanted to remind you of our complaints procedure here at Orwell, including how to make a complaint, an outline of the process, timescales, as well as where you can find extra support where needed. Earlier this week we sat down with Alice Moore, Head of Customers and Communities here at Orwell to talk all about the process.
