Now more than ever, we know there's a real need for affordable housing, and we're committed to building homes that give people the opportunity for a better place to live.
This purchase means more local people will achieve their dream of owning their own home, feeling secure, and providing a future for their families.
Orwell's Assistant Director of Development and Growth, Greg Dodds, said: "We are delighted to be able to complete the development at Washbrook working with Dellwood and it's exciting to think about the opportunities these homes will provide for local people.
2021 has had its challenges, but this purchase concludes another busy year for us. During 2021, we have provided a further 50 affordable homes for Orwell providing a range of homes across our area of operation. As well as continuing to grow Orwell Homes which provides high quality homes for our outright sale.
We also currently have 70 further homes currently on site, the majority of which will complete in 2022.
We have ambitious development plans next year but our local communities are always at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to work in partnership with local contractors, support the local economy and provide affordable homes for local people."
